Default manual to auto conversion

i have a bad knee and every time i am done driving it hurts like hell. my car is payed off with about $10000 in parts into it so trading is not an option. i just want to know what i would need to do this and how difficult the swap would be.

If you were closer we could just swap everything out in the garage.
I want to ditch my auto and I havnt had luck trading my car for a manual.
BTW, I am in Springfield Mo. right now at least for another 6mo or so.

I can rebuild my Auto to how you want it and swap all our crap

but on a more serious note, it's not bad if you are tech savvy if you plan on doing it yourself

It sounds like a pretty involved job. Probably cost more to do the conversion then the car is worth. Might want to consider selling it and buying an auto.

i guess the $10000 in parts and no car payment means nothing. i am in college without a job right now

That doesn't mean the car is worth $10k more then one without those parts. If the stock car is worth $15k, your added parts don't make it worth $25k. Its probably worth somewhere between $15k & $18k tops. And if you spend another $5k to switch to an auto tranny, you will definitely not get that $5k back when you sell it. Just sayin'...

it's not beneficial to go buy a new car just for an auto. i just hit 90k miles on it as well

Since when is a stock 02' V6 worth $15k this year? Or Last year, or the year before that and so on for several more years.

Also if his car is worth $15-18k modded then hell he should jump ship and buy an 03/04 Cobra!

There was a 2000 with about 50k miles, a SSM built 4.3L, TMA twin turbo race kit, MM coil over and built rear along with a few other mods on ebay about 6mo ago. It sold for about $7k on ebay and he had to list it 4 times to finally get that for it.

SO if market says his car is worth $7000 (based on that 00') of course it would be a very very poor choice for him to sell it, hell he doesnt even have the money into the motor like the other guy did.

Simple fact is that the market changes a lot and a long mod list will never get a good return.
