I usually don't ask for such things. But I know when I get the unlimited reports, I like to spread them around. I'm looking to get a car for my girl, so PM me if someone can run a report for me. Thanks in advance.

Car Fax is a joke. 99% of anything won't be on there. It's a waste of time and money.

Agreed. I've seen borderline totaled cars come through the dealership and then when they're on the lot have a clean carfax. My previous mustang had been in an accident before I bought it, lady checked the carfax when I sold it to her and was excited because it came up clean. The thing is so overrated.

+1, my old V6 was in a wreck, which I found out after buying. It had a clean carfax as well. I dont trust it, but it is a good baseline to know the basic history of the vehicle.

Car Fax is only as good as the shops who use it to report what they are doing to a car. If it goes to a shop that doesn't report, or fix something yourself it will never be known.

Like Shaun said, my car has been through the ringer... and has a clean report. I've known several totalled/rebuilt, flood damaged etc. that come up clean.
