Unhappy COOLANT LEAK 95 V6 HELP

Have a 95 V6, coolant is leaking can't tell for sure where but the drips are coming from the rear of the engine. Too much crap in there to see where it is coming from. Any ideas?
Also, drove it yesterday with the leak, ~12miles to get it home, ran fine, temp gauge in middle. Today started it up, toped off the coolant bottle, let it idle, and after about 5 minutes, WAM, the temp gauge was pegged, hot. Again, any ideas? Where should I start to track this / both down.
Thanks

Try posting in the SN95 section, you will get better results since this is the S197 section.

Sounds like a blown head gasket to me.

Found the leak. Driver side freeze plug in the head, right up against the fire wall, small leak trickling out.
A can of coolant stop leak did the trick. Since I just picked up this car for free, I want to drive it around for a while & see what else it needs before taking the head off for a permanent repair.
