Default Anyone know what this is? hanging from the steering wheel area

Hi everyone, new user here! I've had this '01 Mustang for about 2 years now, and for the longest time I couldn't figure out what exactly this thing is. It's a switch-thing that seems to be connected to under my steering wheel. I've kind of ignored it all this time but I really want to find out what this is.

There doesn't seem to be any model number I can find and no other identification to indicate what it could be or what it does. I'm pretty inexperienced with cars in general so I haven't taken out the panel underneath the steering wheel but I just might have to soon. Any help to figure out what this does is appreciated. Thanks guys!

Also if this is the wrong place for the thread I'm sorry, still getting accustomed to the forums.

Absolutely nothing haha. Although I think it used to affect the dashboard. The Hot-Wheels flames on the meters light up when the headlights are on, and I remember the flame lights flashed one time when I was mashing the buttons.

Fancy horn sounds? I bet the two buttons on the right are up and down volume. The music button to change horn music and the flame button to self destruct and explode if your cover is blown.
