uh oh! i have an mmr! should i just remove the rubber hose ahead of time?

you should figure out an alternative to the heater hose.... look at your stock PCV hose and you'll see it a hard plastic hose...

That's right about the name, but I don't know about your year, but my ud pulley weighed about 1/4 less than my stock pulley did, although that thing was freeking huge, I think it's almost 10" in diameter if my memory serves me right.

Here is a picture of the ASP vs stock... you can see the center mass is the same... there is a slight weight saving in the pulley section but like I said the majority of the weight is still there in the center...

Damn, that's a pretty, big size reduction are you sure you didn't see a hp gain out of that? I don't mean peak hp, I mean hp across the board.

I'm still running the ASP, and still say it makes more of a difference than just the HP and torque increase shown on the dyno. The real benefits of the UDP are only realized on the street, I wonder if the UDP would make a difference at the track? Wouldn't that be something if it knocked a tenth off your ET!! Other than the belt issue( which John discovered) and a slight increase in steering effort ( which I have since grown more than use to ) I have NO problems to report with ASP UDP...no broke cranks....no loose flywheel bolts...no engine heating problems. The bottom line is it does work, it's just a matter of bang for the buck..................

Speaking of belts... the belt size that ASP recommended was TO LONG! LOL! It ended up screwing up my alternator cover which I had just had painted! Also it squealed like an SOB... the only other belt I could find that was shorter... was TO SHORT... it caused the tensioner to make some UNHAPPY noises... LOL! All in all it was just more of a headache than it was worth..

05AV6, glad it's still working fine for you! For me it was some thing that just caused me to worry without any real benefit...

Can you qualify that statement?

He did... 05AV6 is getting what I call unmeasurable gains...... Nothing wrong with that at all... he feels the pulley was worth it... My C&L showed a slight gain over my MMR on the dyno... but on the street the C&L felt like it made a huge difference... so I can relate to what 05AV6 is saying... he feels the difference on the street no matter what the dyno shows... and I certainly believe him... I just pointed out that the dyno did not show gains anywhere near what ASP claimed... and I was unhappy with the whole belt issue...

So bottom line is... you have to make up your own mind on this one... I'm going to remain neutral... LOL

You qualified your "seat of the pants" experience with the C&L..."The car was chirping the 1-2 shift at partial throttle... something that had never happened before... " - I was looking for something along those lines, I guess.
