SCT-2 and C&L are in! Tragedy strikes.... Rejoice!
Every second today was painful... I couldn't wait to get home and throw my intake on and tune her up. Get home, nothing there. 7:20PM, doorbell rings... time to boogie. [8D]
Installation was pretty easy, took my dumbass 25 minutes or so. Then it was time, I plugged in the SCT-2 and...... NOTHING! No lights, nothing. Damned thing wont turn on. Lights are on, my radio will turn on, my headlights turn on, not the tuner.
I called Fred at Evo. Perf. His crazy *** is still awake (midnight over there! You crazy Fred!) and he figures it's a burnt fuse. He advises me to plug the SCT into my PC, and sure enough, it turns on. I go back to the stang, check every fuse that makes sense and they seem to be just fine. I call it a night, put my stock intake back on, and walk away with my tail between my legs... but before I do that, I have my friend with a Ford Focus head over to see if the tuner turns on in his car. No go on his, either.
Is it possible that the tuner is defective somehow? Or is it more likely that I have a blown fuse somewhere? I have terrible luck.. ruined my day for sure..

It should receive power from the car off or on, but yes, the car should be off when you plug it in. One of the pins on the connector will draw power from the car, since it gets power from USB just fine, then it must be a crimped or damaged pin/wire. I have seen this before actually on other boards. You should probably contact SCT to get a new one.

[edit] Fred is a step ahead of me! He's already contacted SCT, so we'll see.
On a side note.. I gave my SCT badge to my friend with the Focus, along with an Evolution Performance sticker and one of my Mustang license plate frames. It's a stock 05 ZX3 SE, but we made quite the speed demon out of it with all those badges!
