Have to say i have the SLP setup; catback w/loudmouth II and the X-Pipe with hi flow cats. Haven't gotten to the headers yet, but i had a hugely noticeable HP gain after they were on. Wow and they sound great. Just go to SLP's site and listen yourself.

not sure on a V6 you will have to investigate that. http://www.slponline.com/

It's not just pipes, it's how the pipes are flowing the exhaust out of the engine. Flow, easier and more in the more power you will gain. The smooth flow out will do just the same. It is about the combination. That is why i am so big on keeping to one system and not mix and matching as the systems are all designed to work together.

Email Brenspeed to see there recommendations.

This affordable, easy-to-install kit eliminates the factory mufflers entirely, drastically reducing backpressure for enhanced power and a mind-blowing performance sound.
from slp website.

so they will sound just like your car without the mufflers, im sure that their bends are designed for performance but our engine needs backpresure to run properly soif you eliminate the backpressure (ie loudmouths and headers) you will lose alot of torque in th elow end. HERE is a picture to prove that its "just pipes" meaning "sin mufflers"
