Default performance question - rims

Hey guys, I've seen some posts on here, but I didn't really find an answer to what I was looking for. For anyone who's switched their stock 16" rims to the stock 17" GT ones (not bullits), have you had a noticeable loss in your accelleration?

I was just wondering how it would affect that whole seat-of-the-pants feeling when I get her going. I know it'll cost a couple of hps, but I needed that translated.

It wasn't too bad, right? If not, that'll be okay for me. It's not like I'm going to the track or anything. lol At least I'm getting my duals put in in another week or so, so that'll negate that effect.

Thanks for the info! I didn't want to do something to her that would sit in the back of my mind all of the time when driving around later on...

That sounds weird...a couple of extra pounds cost you a 25% dip in your mpg?

Anyways, I think I'll keep my stock rims and see how the new ones work out before I do anything with them.

Did you change your settings to compensate for the change in wheel/ tire diameter? I doubt your mileage is any different, it's probably just that your odometer is off now.

Is there a difference between the diameter of the V6 rims & the GT ones? I think the rims are bigger, but the tire is smaller...maybe he's just been giving it more gas to make up for the difference in accelleration?

around town there r many school zone radars w/ speed and stuff and my speed always matches what the radar says... its just the fact that the bigger tires and rim make me have 2 do more 2 get moving or osmething. i dont wanna get into the mileage thing again, i just wanted 2 bring 2 his attention u will deff lose mileage,l ol
