Personally I would just get one from MRT... yes, you can save some money by buying just the muffler and fabing things up youself... but for me it's not worth the hassle and MRT has GREAT customer service... you can pick up a single for you car for $225 and that's the muffler, chrome tip, SS axle pipe and SS hangers...

here's MRT's sight.. http://mrt-direct.com/2005/Pages/mrtaxleback.php

as far as the install... it's a simple job you can do in your driveway with basic tools... if you're lazy like me you take it down to the local muffler shop and have them stick it on for $20 to $40... for me it cost a 12 pack of Mountain Dew... LOL!

jet22,

I e-mailed them yesterday and got a reply (AERO that is). He recommended the 2525 model muffler, but I assume that it would NOT be ready to bolt on to the car.

I will check with MRT and see about buying the unit already equipped with the hangers and hardware for a bolt-on.

It's very much worth it to order it from MRT. It's all set up and read to go for the car, and the tip looks pretty good, too.

what is our stock exhaust pipe diameter? I am trying to order a resonator from MRT as well and see the 2.5" one.
Anyone has the MRT Muffler # that comes in a axle back kit?

another question... is the only difference between the v6 and GT system is that one comes with one and the other comes with two? Im thinking about the GT kit but i have 2 1/4 duals so would i have to have the shop put in 2.5" pipes and install the mufflers too?

most shops have a machine that can stretch the end of pipes making them whatever size you need...they can probably just stretch your stock pipe to make it fit the GT size
