Default auto shifter

does anyone know about ratchet shifters
they would be cool for everyday driving as well as racing
BUT
can they fit our auto transmission
AND
are our transmissions able to handle the stress from one

don't be so lazy, stick with one or the other. either be happy with stick, its a good workout. or if you have auto get a X-cal tune from Lideo or Bamachips its that simple

i think he said that in a joking manner lol. but yeah i love manual and wouldnt have anything else, but manumatic, or ratchet would be cool!! (and Fast) ford really should have put a manumatic in the auto(where you can slide the shifter to the right and shift like manual) that woulda been awesome got a loaner g35 once and it had it, i liked it alot, you can either be lazy and leave it in auto, or you can have some fun shifting.

ya but the best thing about ratchet is that its mechanical not electronic
you dont get that lag you do with the steptronic stuff
its instantanious

Right now there are no aftermarket shifters available for the auto, but B&M is currently deveoping a ratchet shifter for the new Mustangs (similar to their Quicksilver model). It's probably over 6 months out though. There's a thread on the Brad Barnett forums that was started by a guy at B&M, he updates it every few weeks.

Here's the B&M shifter thread, if you're interested then post a message over there so they can see we want this thing Since direct linking to this site isn't allowed, I had to insert an asterisk in there in front of "brad". Remove the asterisk and you should be directed to the thread.
