Default Leather Seats

On a scale of 1-10 what is the Difficultly of changing the seat covers from cloth to leather?

i know when i watched the people at ford change out cloth seat covers for new ones that were under warranty or what have u, they had a special tool to do it w/ and it didnt take that long to do... all u gotta do is take the fabric skin off and replace it w/ the new leather 1.

its a 8

it is realy hard if you have never done it... geting the cloth off is easy but geting the new stuff on... its like trying to get a condom over a garbage can.

I sugjest having a shop do it they have the right tools

Between an 8 and 9. Not impossible but hard as hell. I changed out the seats in my car on my own and it was a beast. Make sure you take the seats out of the car first. And as far as the rear seats, don't expect to be able to re-connenct everything you disconnected. It is also hell on your hands. I'm just a cheapskate because the couple of places I checked out were quoting like $500 to install. l think they turned out pretty good though. I picked up my seats from a company on ebay, but I've also seen the same company on V6 mustang site.

the leather from ford is such bad quality, does not keep that "tight" look like when you see it new

i would have went with cloth if i knew what these seats would look like 5 months down the road

at least the back seats look nice []
