As easy as plugging it in. You can remove the limiter yes but since the speedo only goes to 120, very lame, kinda useless IMO. WTF made Ford put such a wimpy speedo...damn

CAI & X-cal 2 tune
I'm just bein' nitpicky... ya just need the X-cal (1 or 2) or a Diablo Sport Predator to remove the limiter. But, the intake sure is nice too! [sm=burnout.gif]

also you will want to make sure you get a good tune dont plug it in and then start messing with the setting on the x-cal/diablo and +1 you dont need a cai (cold air intake) but you will see a big improvement.

go with the C+L (intake) and x-cal2 (around 550$)

also dont kill yourself who needs to go over 113 anyway i thought about it and i dont really want to risk it here in america.

on the SCT tuner, you have to go into user options, scroll down thru the different options, you'll come to rpm limiter, rpm2 limiter, and then topspeed limiter. Caution, the speed limiter is set at 112mph by Ford to protect your *** from a tire blowout. Your factory tires are only rated to the upper 90's mph. Even with built in safety factor of 10-15% when new, you risk tire blow out at speeds over 100mph... don't matter if your wearing seatbelts, airbags working or not...your more than likey to kill your self and someone else too.

Be advised, a traffic ticket at those speeds is not a mail in fine, it's a go to jail, post bond, get your nice new care towed, scratched up, rummaged thru, and stored at impound lot, at least $150 to $300 to get out, not to metion the points on your revoked lic and the crap you'll get from your friends whom will see you standing at the bus stop waiting for a ride to work. ;(

Be Carefull please

Yeah, if you are planning to speed like that or track your car, change from the stock tires...they're crap.

You will want to make sure that your tires are rated to handle what ever you set your new max speed to btw.
lol a tire speed rating isnt necessarily how much speed it can handle, its an overall performance rating. but yes it would be a good idea toput some High perf or ultra high perf tires on the car after this as well

My car is stock and I had it up to 130MPH once. I will not do that again until I get rid of the 16" stock tires.
