The Z28s are 300+ HP depending on the year, are you sure you didn't race a V6 camaro badged as a Z28. The V6's, some of them from the 90's only push 160HP.
Even the last v6 Camaro, the 200 chp/200 tq one, is slooooow as anything. But the newer Z28's, those're no joke.

I raced a lightly modded V8 camaro at the track that was on slicks, he ran a 8.972 and I ran a 8.981, but I had the juice with my TQ from hell. They are tough cars those Camaros. In the hands of the right owner, they are to be feared. I've seen rice underestimate and old camaro. It's not a pretty site for rice. LOL.

Yeah, tell me about it, I saw an ls1 Camaro SS running 12's at the track down here, LS-engine cars are no joke, that engine is strong.

^ you could give a Z a run if you were on the juice. ^

They are fast cars man. The LS1 is beast. STOCK dynos were from 300 - 315 to the ground!

H/C/I/exhaust cars can hit 400 RWHP.

I don't race them
I want to try a Z, but no one brings them to the track. They are stock high to mid 13 second cars I think. Nothing to take lightly for me. Not until I go nuts on the mods again. With bolt on's and some lca's, you could lay damange to one.

Finding a stock Z28 to race is pretty much impossible, people don't keep those beasts stock when they can get so much more hp from very little $ spent.

I'm not sure I'd diss' the "gaymaro". If he kicked your butt, and his car is "gay" where does that leave you?

Im not dissing it its just fun between friends...

and I didn't say he kicked my butt, I said I was actually suprised by how well my car kept up with his and that their autos prob. rob them of a lot of power. Im guessing on the auto thing because thats the only thing I can think of. If you can't put the power to the ground it doesn't do u any good. Also its not driver error on his part, from his cobras etc. Im sure he knows how to drive.

Yeah chrisc! With a tune etc. it would then prob. be a drivers race! ...WELL UNLESS HE DID THE SAME TO HIS CAR[:@]
