Default Another trip to the track

Well, it was yet another exciting day at the track! I will keep this brief, I need to fire up the grill and put down a few cold ones.

Last week:

• 13.9

This week, after Excessive firmed up the shifts on my tune:

• RT: .184
• 60: 2.077
• 330: 5.681
• 1/8: 8.732
• MPH: 79.83
• 1000: 11.390
• 1/4: 13.647
• MPH: 99.11

Also, here’s a cool story. I was in the staging lane. And the only other 2005 pulls up behind to me, it was a GT of course. It was Jr. Dragster time so he gets out and I go, “beautiful car man” and he was like “man, I love that spoiler”. So we chatted it up about the spoiler and I was like, “how you doin today on the track?”, he was like “man, I can’t break out of a 13.9”, I was like “yea, there was another 05 here last weekend that couldn’t bust out of 13.9 either”, and he was like “yea, when I bought this car, I was thinking on the 6 or 8, but just couldn’t stomach a 6. It’s like a non-alcoholic beer, know what I mean?”. I realized he thought my car was a 8, probably cause of the GT bumper despite he was parked behind me and I had a huge 4.0 emblem on the trunk. So I nodded my head and he goes “man, I saw you rip off a 13.6, what you got running on that thing?”. Perfect!!!! I he walked right into it, I said “it’s a six man!”. He was like no fing way, so I popped the hood and he was impressed. Now I couldn’t have given him crap, but he was a stang brother so I told him how to get into the mid 13’s. He was running a cai, bassani xpipe, mac mufflers and had a canned tune. I told him he can be in the mid 13’s with a tune from Lidio or Doug.

I was hanging with a lot of stangs today, and they were all cool to me. They were patting me on the back for running a 13.6, and amazed at the potential of the new six. Just to put it in perspective, there was a Mach1 parked next to me that ran a best of 14.0, a 03 Saleen that ran a best of 13.7 (both are super charged) and a 94 Cobra that ran a best of 13.8 I think. Everyone was cool and we were watching each other off the line to give each other tips.

Oh well, so much for keeping it short. BlackLX/Jimp and Scrming, I’m coming for the title baby! I’m at 13.6 on streets, crappy pneros actually. I’m getting some DR’s and taking the title. Let’s get it on.

As usual time slips and pics to follow.

Well, the 94 cobra was running low boost, but he should have had me. Not sure what the deal was there. The Mach had bad tires and suspension, I told the guy driving it his tires were shot and he needed LCA's. The Saleen, I have no clue, crappy driver?

It was also interesting to know that I was one of 3 street stangs there with LCA's. Most of them were stock suspension. Just goes to show that LCA's work!

Good job, I know I'll probably never shoot for times that low. It's cool to know it can be done, and there's more than one six doing it.

NICE!!! Goes to show what determination can produce.... Now I feel the pressure - LOL Great numbers!! I wish you had a camera when you let him know it was a six -- Should have offered him an O'douls after that
