My sister had a scion tc..Piece of crap is all i gotta say....i topped it out at 130-132 a couple of times but it gets there slowly. and if you have a chip on your car you dont have to worry about that. i hate scions, our v6s can kick the crap out of them easily...matter of fact race the cracker backwards lol. You should be able to take him though no problem, dont even worry about it.

i was watching speed channel and they were advertising a $6K supercharger intercooled system for those TC's and tehy are apparently a bitch to install (as they said on the show) and it said they run 15.3's after all that!! Take that trash talking bitch out!

This came up last year, we will kill those cars!!!!!! They have no TQ and no power, what a joke. 147 HP AND 154 TQ to the wheels!!! WTF. And they are 3100lbs.
Yea my dad has one!!! I drove it. He has the aftermarket exhaust on it from the factory. Those things are pretty slow compared to my car and I drove a manual Scion TC too. lol You shold have nothing to worry about. Tell him hes only like 155 hP at the wheel stock meybe 169 170ish. Hell the ones that come naturally supercharged are abot 210 220 at the wheel!! If those have nitrous they can beat a GT. The guys who installes all my parts is was like " man I gotta do some stuff to my GT, I got beat by a Scion at the track the other night he says" Now I just figure SC'd one with nitrous meybe. I know a stock one is slow. sorry dad!!

I didn't even see Fazms postes its probobly the same dude. lol

Scion TC are 160 at the fly stock, they aren't getting 155 to the wheels. More like 125-135 from auto to manual...people with all the bolt ons are around 145ish to the wheels, n /a those cars are lousy...his only chance is some kind of forced induction.

With a the 5sp tranny and the s/c TC's aren't even breaking 200 whp, they're around 190-195. Check out some dynos on scionlife.com, they're pathetic grocery getter cars.

Here's an article on a supercharged Scion, just catching up to us. With an intake and a tune, there's not much need to fear these little guys.

Last night i raced 2 cars.

Mercury w/intake and chopped off muffler, stick. from a dig i smashed him, won about 1 1/2 car lengths and on top of that my launch was crap b/c i burned out and on top of that i missed 3rd. from a a 35 mph roll i left him in the dust.

t/c stick stock i believe. I launched from 2600 rpm and burned out; we where side by side when i hit 2nd and started gaining on him. But, i missed 3rd AGAIN and an oncoming car was ahead of us so i had to slow down. I never really got in a good launch against the tc driver error. but what can i saw, those where my 2 first real races. From seing the tc's stock. If you have good gears, LSD or TLOK you will smash him. Just don't spin your tires in the begging or he might gain on you.

Guys i need some serious help on my launch. My car is basically stock except for single MRT exhaust. When i was racing i either started off with a crappy lanuch i.e. burnout or i missed 2nd or third. I guess i'm just not used to the stick being in the center f the console or something. 3rd gear is a bitch to hit when racing.
