Default shifting problem?

My car's an auto and as I was leaving the in-laws yesterday, it didn't really shift out of first when I first accellerated. I let go of the gas and hit it again and it shifted fine. I think also on the way to their house on the highway it didn't switch over once when it should've, but I'm not really sure about that.

Now for the questions...has this happened to anyone else at all? Could it just be a weird thing that just happened or a sign of trouble?

I ordered a C&L and tune, but I think I'll hold off on putting it in when it gets here until I give this more time in case I have a warranty issue.

I'll check it out. It's kind of weird though...the car only has 4500 miles on it.

could have been a burp... the tranny is electronically controlled and shifts when the computer tells it too... I wouldn't worry to much... keep an eye on it...

oh... i don't think they are sealed... how else would they fill them when you have the tranny fluid changed... it's just that there's no dip stick... you have to fill them from underneath the car... LOL

I'm hoping it was a burp...I just don't want to have it tuned and then find out that there's a problem with it and the dealer won't cover it.

I'm going to give it some more time and see what happens. It hasn't happened since, and I've been looking for it...

Oh yeah, and my shop's been good about the warranty. I had to bring it in a couple of times to get the brakes fixed because they kept making noise and I also had the 1800 RPM TSB fixed. Those are little compared to a trans though...
