Making a fast Civic makes as much sense to me as making a fast Pinto. It may be fast but it's still just an crappy little car. Being the fastest thing on the road is not that big a deal, anybody with a little cash can make any car fast. Having a fast car that looks good, sounds good, handles well and is fun to drive is much more satisfying to me even if it's not the fastest thing on the road.

That's akin to saying getting an old rusted 5.0 Mustang into 11's doesn't make much sense...these cars aren't daily drivers for most of the types that mod old cars, they're project cars and the owners just love building engines..import or domestic, they can mod a car like that they have my respect as an enthusiest, and if it is a DD, well whats imortant to you or me, creature comforts and such, may not be important to then.

These a vid of a guy that totally refabbed a Metro engine bay and dropped an LS2 in, great DD, no, great track car, oh yeah. Diff'rent strokes.
