I've read several posts on here about people wanting to race against our mustangs. I'm just curious how often this happens to you all? I've only had mine for just shy of two weeks, and so far I've had one person try and get cocky with me and try and beat me. It was earlier today and funny thing was it was a POS Dodge Caravan. But other than that NO ONE has tryed to race me. I'm kinda disappointed.

P.S. in case your wondering you don't have to hardly press the gas pedal to smoke a caravan.

i get it a lot from either the "ricer scene" or the "domestic/import tuner scene"

a lot of times i am at a stop light, tired as hell because it is 1:30pm, going home, and some 350z pulls beside me and revs to let me hear his blow off valve, while inside the driver's spikey orange hair and sunglasses (in the middle of the night) are illuminated by interior blue neons

happens so much i dont even like to race anymore...most of the "tuner" guys (as mentioned above) have cars way too fast and just want to get some kind of tiny ego trip

I always get people that try and race me. I dont race on the streets anymore, I do all my racing at the track.

I get challenged once a week. Usually by a Civic, Acura or Eclispe. I ignore them, though its hard cause I know on motor I can take most of them. But I save it for the track. One time an Eclispe was so obnoxious, wouldn't stop revving his fart can, following me from light to light. Finally I had to communicate to him utilizing my international sign language abilities, i.e. the middle finger. That ended it! LOL.

Well, I haven't had any strangers to even attempt to challenge me. Other than my friend with a mercury cougar. Needless to say he doesn't talk **** anymore. [8D] I guess all of the ricers around here are a bunch of pussies.

Well I'll only race other V6 stangs, duah, becuase when two stangs pull side by side they either give a thumbs up for a good job or they want to race. I've canned tons of V6 stangs in my year, once again, duah as they are slower than the speed of smell, and I've toasted several edge models, although those races were a little closer, now I've never raced a new sn197 as I know that for now my *** is grass, but I can beat them on top speed, haha, rev limitator/govener, but I won't take you guys until I do my gear swap along with that other mod in my lower sig, after that, it's on.[8D]

That's hilarious. I'd have to say i get it mainly from the ricer scene...though i've had some dude in a lowered Dodge Stratus race me before...I couldn't keep from laughing at his ride and himself. I thought i saw everything but apparently after seeing that dudes ride i stand corrected. He also had racing stripes on it and had some ugly white rims on his ride. haha!

Stock SRT-4 times are in the high 13's, more of a match for the GT then us And all of them have duals, they come with them for appearance like the TSX. Aggravating that 4-bangers like those get duals they don't need stock, yet Ford doesn't give us them....grrrr.
