i think i remember someone on these forums saying that the manual ones had a better sound, but im not sure how much of a difference it makes. i know mine came off of a manual GT but thats just because the seller had that info listed, i don't recall the numbers tho. i will see if i can find out also

I've always wondered why there are different mufflers for the manual and automatic on the GTs. I have an automatic, but I know my mufflers came off a manual GT.

the auto mufflers are designed slightly different to be more quiet.

I just received my GT take off muffler, it goes on WED. I have no idea if it's from an automatic or a manual, I expect it to look better with the slash cut tip and sound slightly better then the stock muffler.

I read in a post on this forum that the mufflers from the gt manual trans have a better sound. I dont remember if the post said they flow better or give any more hp tho.

This the info I've come up with regarding part numbers for 05-06 GT mufflers:
automatic FI-7791 L, FI-7791R
manual F1-7849-R and F1-7991-L
