Default tuning help - quick

Hey all,

Just got my C&L and Xcal-2 yesterday. CAI went on no problems but the instructions for the Xcal say take out the fuel pump and electric fan fuses. Do you really need to do that since the owner's manual says not to mess with the high power fuses?
