Actually I saw on a shootout with ten other CAIs
IF I dont go with a Shaker setup that's one I;m going with.
Air will def. be cooler going into engine with less turbulance.

It might work something like that on a GT, but I to doubt it works that well on the V-6??? I like the design too....the straight in looks like it would be so effecient compared to having to make two turns that all others that I have seen. Thanks for the .02 cents worth.

I wonder if this one would be better than the C&L? I think its cheaper anyone know any facts?
OK i just did some research: the C&L produced 25 rwhp on a Dyno
the WMS intake made 23.4 rwhp....
This of course was on a GT
to me this is a very close compairison but one must remember that the WMS's CAI doesn't require a Tune.

i must be missing something, but when I look at it, it looks like the hood will cut off any air getting to it unless you have a special hood. All the air that goes into the front grill actually goes under the intake. if the hood seals to the radiator piece, there is no air getting to it at all. Unless there is a hood with an opening right above the intake, I just don't see how it gets ANY air. I was looking at the intake myself until I started studying it. Please tell me what I am missing, because I do like the idea of straight on intake. Maybe if that piece was a mesh or honeycomb, I don't know. Please tell me what I am missing.

ALMOST baught it but when i placed my order they where updating the MAF housing. they asked me if i wanted to wait and i said yes but changed my mind. the idea is totally legit but the price is not. you pay almost 500 bucks for a filter, a small maf adapter, the shield, teh bracket for moving the overflow can. im sorry but the price just isnt worth it in my book. the idea is that because the 05-06 throttle body is front mounted its a clean shot for incoming air to reach the filter. its works but the draw back is that without the heatshield installed you heatsoak something terrible. i must admit that on the originality scale though its a perfect 10. also hazestang, the filter does get air to her with or without the heatshield. remember the behond teh grill is teh radiator. the air would travel upwords and to the filter much better through the front then from the side where the stock or other CAI are located.
