Default Headlights

I was pondering different headlights for the Stang. I was wondering what you guys thought about the projectors with the angel eyes? I would love to see them on a Stang. I was also wondering what kind of bulbs I should get if i want a bright HID look without actually buying a full HID kit.

personally i think the projectors look hot. as for the lights, if you can get your hands on some sylvania silverstars that would be your best bet. im still hunting down h13 sylvania silverstars for the car.

The Silverstar's are great bulbs! I have been looking for the H13's with no luck! The projectors look good, but ruin the "retro" look of the new bodystyle IMHO.

I wouldn't get projectors either. I think I'm going to go with these.

Hey

they don't make a Silverstar for the h13 bulb. As far as I know they aren't going too. They do make a h13 in the xtravision that are a little brighter but not really worth the money. you can however find the h13 in the higher wattage type of bulbs. you take a chance of melting the light housing when using these types of bulbs though.

If you get those, please please let me know what you think. Sylvania doesn't make silverstars in an H13 and I read somewhere that they won't be for quite some time. I can't afford HIDs and I want some bright replacement stock wattage bulbs.

Here is a reply I received from Sylvania re: Silverstar's in H13:

Thank you for taking the time to contact us with your inquiry. Part H13, also known as 9008, is not currently available in a SilverStar upgrade. We have received many requests for this part in a SilverStar upgrade, but we were unable to develop this part in a SilverStar until just recently. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) wrote into the original specification for this part that the glass capsule portion of the lamp must remain a clear quartz glass. Part of upgrading a part to SilverStar is coating the capsule with an amethyst colored enamel. NHTSA had specified that we could not do that to this part. We appealed this standard through NHTSA, resulting in a change in the wording, allowing us to finally offer a SilverStar upgrade for this part, but this part is still under development. We are hoping to launch this part sometime in the late fall to early winter timeframe.
