side scoops
Way back in the 60's, they were used as brake cooling scoops on race cars (they were ducted through the body, behind the tires and directly into the brake rotors). They eventually started showing up on street cars being styled to look like the racers. A lot of the early Shelbys had them, but I'm not sure if they were functional or not. These days as Bobby said they're just for looks.
I like the Cervini's too.
If anyone wants a pair of the Cervini's lower quarter scoops, I have a set still in the box (I decided to switch my car from a Shelby to a Mach 1 theme before I installed them) I'd be willing to knock $25 off the Cervini's retail price and pay the shipping.

As I said, they're "still in box". Nothing has been done to them, they're exactly as Cervini's ships them.
They're molded in an off-white/lt gray urethane, and require painting before install.
