Another thing to think about is that if you leave it at home in the garage a thief can break into your house steal the keys from inside your house and drive away. Seen it done to an 05 GT mustang on the discovery channel show "it takes a thief"

dont our cars have an active alarm? (if you payed for it) that goes off if the car is tilted (ie towed) or something. mine goes off if the windows are down, car is locked and you reach inside.

thank you for making me feel better. I have a basic radio so not too worried about it :-) As long as the car is not stolen. My car did not come with an alarm so there is no deterent. Should I get Mustang factory alarm? Is there a low price brand that I can get? I am worried when I leave the top down, someone might get in just for the hack of it.

That system didn't come on my vert, I didn't even know it exsited until Afixer showed me the one on his car.

If you paid for it, It comes with a very good alarm......
Goes off when you vary the level plane (ie towing), it also has motion sensors inside..... Found out the hard way when I left my window down, sat the alarm and stock my arm inside to get something I left in the seat....

I have the Mobile Guardian alarm system on my car. It has a GPS system so I can track it. I'm just waiting for someone to steal my car! I can track them down myself if I want to instead of low jack or the cops taking they're time to look for it.
