Does anyone know if Powerhouse or Shelby or some other company that build a H.O. 4.0 Mustang have done any work to the engine internals?
None so far. They have all built around the stock block. Even the STS twin turbo uses a stock block.

i seen on another forum about a svo 4.5liter v6 making around 500 hp N/A and around 1000 with a turbo setup. Not sure what block its built around but that still seems like to much out of a six but who knows what they can do.

450hp n/a i find that highly unlikely, remember the 7 liter small block z06 only makes 505hp. thats with 2 more cylinders and 2.5 more liters of displacement and a crazy high CR (almost 12:1)

LOL not even a street motor. Probably runs c16 (or higher) octane fuel. Which means it can not be put in a street car since its not an emissions motor. I thought you were talkin about a street motor.

scrimg i think you should forget the lightly used 6 cyl and just get a big block v8 in that SOB! that'd be sick!
Blasphemy!!!
only if its a non-ford engine!

well at the end of my warentee i may rebuild my motor with heads and pistons and cams and such
or i might rebuild an old 5.0 and throw that pup in there
that would be sick to have an 05 mustang with a 5.0 in there with the 5.0 tags
