GT rear end on my 6?

It is my understanding that the GTs have a LSD rear end. Would it be possible to make a direct swap from a V6 rear to a GT?? Would seem like the best way to go as I could pick one up cheap from a wrecked GT

Yes, Ive heard its a simple swap but I think you have to get new axles; Would you have to change your driveshaft also?

if u have to change the drive shaft, thats a big plus as theres a lightwait replacment for the GT Driveshaft.

I don't think you have to change the driveshaft. Powerhouse switched to an 8.8 and are still using a stock V6 driveshaft.

If you're just looking for a stronger rear end, I think just installing a strong limited slip like the TrueTrac or Auburn in the stock rear would make more sense, unless you're looking for crazy hp (ie 350+) down the road. Even the Ford Racing T-lok is holding up to some big power and hard launches just fine.
