stripes
I got my vinyl racing stripes recently from baltimore street mods (i do not recommend anyone ordering from this place in the future) and im lookin for a place to install them, anyone in the philadelphia area know of any places?
If you are going to tell people not to buy from a store, give reasons and justifications for doing so. Give details. I have seen a few people come on here and down a particular online store without giving reasons, and that person always ends up looking like an idiot. I will be in the market for stripes soon, and baltimore streets is the place I was most recomended to get them from. Please tell your full story.

ok i was heavily recommended to go there also, but now that i got the stripes, i can't find a place that wants to install them, everywhere i go, whether it be stripe specialest, i went to ford, everywhere, oringally says 250-300 for install, and then looks at the stripes and says they dont even wanna touch em, they r cut into like 10-11 different tiny pieces and each stripe comes on a different roll, so the spacing isnt even done for u already....1 place i went showed me the stripes they sell, its 1 long roll about 24 inches think, its got 2 10"stripes on it, he says that those are the stripes people think we r talking about, thats why they oringially say 250-300, the truth is, i asked ford how much they charged to paint on stripes they said about 800-900, and with the way these places talk about prices, i might almost spend that to get my sht taped on....point is, nobody wants to work with the stripes baltimore street mods give u, the side stripes though, for the rocker panel are nice though
Cant you return the stripe package and go to the dealer?? We had ours done at the dealer before taking ownership. Pretty happy with them, tho we did find a few small errors, like piecing together. But fortunately its under the trunk scoop. I wouldnt reccomend painting them on. I was told by a painter that it would be costly because the undercoat would have to be removed before the stripes are added which makes the job pricey. Good luck with your decision, and you wont regret the stripes!! We didnt!!
The new Mustangs are a lot harder to stripe than the older ones. I was really suprised at how difficult they are to install. I have done many 99-04 Mustangs and when I bought my 06 GT I thought it would be a breeze. there are some sections that it is better to slice them together to make them look right. If you don't then you have to use a heat gun to stretch the vinyl. Once you do that the edges don't look as straight and the life of the vinyl is decreased. One idea for you, take the stripes to a local graphics shop and have them space them for you and put the transfer tape on them. you may get some better luck with another store installing them or even attempt it yourself.
Here's a radical thought...install them yourself. There's enough articles here about how to do it, that it can be done easily. And of course shops are going to quote you a ton to put them on, they'd much rather you buy the stripes from them. Don't bad mouth a company just because your local shop won't install someone else's identical product for a reasonable price. Doesn't make much sense to charge you what they normally would for the labor when you aren't purchasing their product, does it?
