Good NEWS
GOOD NEWS FOR THE MUSTANG PEOPLE.
If you have experienced a slight stall or hesitate on take off after driving your mustang for over 30 minutes, long distance driving, or after your mustang is hot, then I have good news for you. Ford has found the problem, The problem is on a new TSB that just came out and the problem is in the fuel pump. My dealership service department has already ordered mine as of today (June 8, 2006). Here is the Ford Part Number 7R3Z-9H307-C it's called a sender and pump unit. I do not have the TSB number but all dealerships should have the TSB on hand for you to read. I have already read this TSB this morning at the service department. Just some information to pass along to anyone who is or has or still is experiencing the same problem as I have. Again, the Ford Part Number is 7R3Z-9H307-C ask them to change it and it will solve the problem. Also another reminder for you, these new pump units are on back order because Ford had to redesign the pump unit. Hope this helps.

RE: Good NEWS
Hey, thanks. I just spoke with the dealership and they have the TSB.
It's a lincoln-mercury dealer that had an 05. So, they
have to order the part. But this better be free of charge.
I have noticed hesitation, not stalling though. But hat's off
to MF. A wealth of information.

RE: Good NEWS
Yeah I though I was over exaggerating but I always noticed a bit more pick up when I drive early in the morning just when the engine hasn’t warmed up yet vs. accelerating after driving for a bit, is that what that is supped to solve???..

RE: Good NEWS
If you are experiencing any kind of hesitation with your mustang after the car has warmed up say after 30 minutes or an hour of driving and you pull out and it hesitates when you try to give it more throttle, then yes I'd take it in and give the TSB to the service department and have them replace that fuel pump. I have a few friends who had this done and it does correct the hesitation problem on take off. also you will see more gain even after the engine is warmed up.

RE: Good NEWS
YES I HAVE!!! like when u go to pull away and it dusnt mater how much gas u give it and it nearly stalls and goes really slow till the revs *** up, i found that too, and ive always thought it was faster and smoother acclerating than when its warmed up.
Now is this gonna stay as a technical service bulliton or go to a recall? pehaps if enuff of us complain they will make it a warrenty work recall!
