okay.. i have a lame-o question to ask. the term "drift"... what exactly does it mean? I've seen it in these forums several times and when i googled it, came up w/ this:

- stray: wander from a direct course or at random; "The child strayed from the path and her parents lost sight of her"; "don't drift from the set course"

- roll: move about aimlessly or without any destination, often in search of food or employment; "The gypsies roamed the woods"; "roving vagabonds"; "the wandering Jew"; "The cattle roam across the prairie"; "the laborers drift from one town to the next"; "They rolled from town to town"

- a force that moves something along

- Moving out of position or off a mark. (Not a good thing to do!)

- To deviate or vary from scheduled execution.

Go to the Other Proffensional Racieng(I hate words) and look at DRIFT, it has the Mustang that beat out the imports in drifting raceing.

Not a bad video. You have to see it in action when two cars are doing it at the same time! Didn't the guy at the very end look like Jim Carry?

Drifting is "controlled" oversteer so the car goes sideways through the curves. It's very cool to watch, very difficult to do well, and very dangerous.

If it interests you, there is a mustang featured in the upcoming "Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift". Google it and watch the trailer online, there's going to be some insane stunt driving in that movie (and some very tackily decorated awesome cars, new skyline, lotus, mustang, etc, you'll be happy to know the mustang simply sports racing stripes, it might very well be a shelby of some sort.)
