Has anyone put cams in our v6 engine because this car sounds real nice. I know its a gt but we should be able to get close.

Im not asking if we can sound like a v8. I asked has anyone installed cams in a v6 yet. I know we are lacking displacment but believe with a larger lift cam it would sound at least better than a stock gt, maybe not but just wondering.

Check with crane cams. Im sure they could make you one if you really wanted them to. It probably wont be cheap, but definitly not impossible. And in my opinion even a cammed out v-6 still wont sound better than a GT.

Cams would make a huge difference in performance for sure. We might gain 20hp or more for street legal cam and probably 30+ for more aggresive cam. This is from my previous Moded Civic days when I experimented with different cams. I don't care much for sound but bigger Cam will make your car sound louder.

supersixmotorsports has. They are regrinds, but i think you would have to take it to a dyno to get it tuned right.

yeah, supersix is the only people i know of who are doing it.

OK, I'm dense... what is a cam gong to do for us? Lift the valves higher? Longer? What effect does that have? How about a little cam theory here...
