$1200 CAN gears and track lock?
I saw a shop in town today and he quoted me $800 for installing a ford track lock (he say good to 500hp or so, he's running a 380hp GT on one right now and no problems) and $1200 for the lock and new gears. Both prices include install and are in Canadian dollars. He mentioned somthing about using a used case or cage (can't remeber which), I'm guessing this is okay? Is this a good deal?

Got my tlock for 185, but 200 is typical. Install for a rear end is 250 to 325 depending on the shop, but most charge 300, labor is same for tlok and gears togather. Gears are 140 to 200, plus the bearing kit is 70 bucks I think, though most shops have spare parts on hand that you don't need to buy one, depends on the shop.

I'll probably end up paying the 1200 if I get it done as anywhere in northern oilfield towns will rape you at least a little bit... the best you can hope for is a reach around... It doesn't sound all that insanely high and the guy at trhis shop does tonnes of work on mustangs. Thnx for the help guys.
