powerbraking isn't too hard on the tranny.... you're only reving to 1500-2000 rpm's or so for a couple seconds. Racing isn't exactly pampering any part of your ride.

power brake it...hold the brake all the way down and rev the engine as high as you can w/o letting the wheels spin....when u see green, let off the brake and floor the gas...

Holy geeeeez!! ANd what exactly does the takeoff feel like?? I do not picture myself ever doing this but it sounds bad ***.

LSD+Gears+Better brakes=Better Auto launches
Powerbraking shouldn't hurt anything, if anything your tires might get lower milage and same with your brakes.
But I'm also a newbie Auto Launcher, all my previous cars were Sticks, so I love the Auto and hate it at the same time haha
