Default XCAL2 Problems @$#%@!!!!

I got my C&L cold air induction on with out a hitch in under 10 minutes. The bummer is that the XCAL2 is failing to program. It is generating an error "FEPS Failure Press SELECT"
and after pressing SELECT it says "Turn Key Off Press SELECT". I don't even have the flipping keys in the ignition. I have been on the phone w/ Lidio @ Alternative Auto and he is calling his SCT rep. He said that this is the second one that has done this. SOOOO. I have to put the OEM airbox back on, and UPS the XCAL2 back so he will send me another one.
I f*cking hate when **** does not work like it is supposed to.

Dude, that sucks. Hey, as long as Lidio is gonna replace it that's cool. Hopefully he'll compensate you for the mistake, though it is probably an SCT problem.

Lidio? That is the guy from Scrmings web site right. Rygen posted that Lidio is really good with the autos, is this true? I have an auto.

Yes Lidio is the best with the autos! The company's name is Alternative Auto.

I had a problem with my tuner too. The damned thing just didnt turn on. Turned on when I hooked it up to my PC, but wouldn't otherwise. Fred at Evo. Performance overnighted me a new one, and it worked.

I am off to mail this f*cker back to Lidio. He called me back about 10 minutes ago, the SCT rep said it is a bad XCAL2.
Stock airbox is back on. Oh well. Off to UPS I go.

I feel for ya man! I know too well what it's like to wait, wait, wait for something (even if it's not that long...if it's something you really want, two minutes is a long time) and get a "dud." Best of luck with the next one.

I had to do that too.. late at night. Was around 10PM when I finished, plugged in the XCAL2 and nothing... after 45 minutes talking with Fred, it was clear that the tuner was dead. Took everything apart and put the stock box back on at 11 at night. Such a downer...

When the replacement came in two days later, I had it in and out in 10 minutes.

Keep us informed, I'm getting ready to order one from Bamachips for my 5 speed manual; I hope there isn't a widespread problem.
