Apox HP Gains
Ok after hearing what everyone had to say I think im going to buy the JBA true H pipe dual exhaust system, the JBA shorty headers and the C&L & XCAL2 CAI. I was wondering how much HP gains each of these will give me. I am reading on different sellers sites and one person said that the headers will give me 15+ at the wheels, the exhaust 18+ at the wheels and the CAI 30+ at the wheels...Will they really give me around that much gains? Thanks.

probly not... all those estimates are high and besides... you won't get 30 extra horespower from 3 mods that claim 10 hp each. that's just an example, but unfortunately, that's the way it works

With all those mods on a manual, and a really good tuner most have gotten 201 to 213 RWHP depending on tuner. I think someone got 215 out of AZ dyno, but need to dig up the post.

RE: Apox HP Gains
Horsepower is the amount of power that can be measured at the crank on the engine. The energy created by the turning of the crank is transfered to the rear wheels through the driveshaft. As you know all of these parts are heavy and therefore take energy to turn them. hints the power loss from the crank to the amount of energy axctually transfered to the wheels. The normal amount of energy that can be associated with Drivetrain loss will be about 15% of the horsepower. We call this whp or rear wheel horsepower.
The stock whp is on average is about 160-180whp, and the numbers up in the 190's-200 are with exhaust and intake w/tune.
