Has anyone purchased the ford racing muffler for their 2006 v6. how does it compair with other performance mufflers on the market. What kind of power does it free up? how do you like the sound, it there a noticable difference? and does it affect the warenty on the car?

I have it, I'm pretty happy with it performance wise, not thrilled with the 4" tip (do like the look of it, if it weren't 4"). I'm thinking about going to the MRT aero-turbine simply for the aesthetic value alone.

It's a great muffler, good tone, it's just BIG.

I like mine, and I think the tip looks good. The sound is much throatier than the stock. I added it when I had a 93 octane tune but no CAI, and I definately noticed a difference at the higher RPM, times when you are pushing a lot of gas through the exhaust system. What did it add? Who knows... I added the CAI a week later, and saw yet more increase. Many posters here have suggested 7-10 HP for the muffler.

Does anyone have a diffinitive answer on that one? I really am curious as to how much RWHP custom exhaust adds. I know duals don't add much but just the exhaust upgrade itself. Is it 10 or fewer? Is it anything? I upgraded my exhaust pretty quick so I can't remember what the car was like without it.

I'm happy with mine. Like the sound and how it looks too. Not sure about hp gains though...tbh I can't imagine you would notice anything unless u are at a track

Where can i get it from? also how much can i expect to spend? the only place i found it on the internet didnt list a price or offer any kind of ordering options.

I picked up my Ford Racing exhaust on ebay and think I paid about $210 including shipping.

I agree that the tip looks large!! I got mine for 199.00 at livernois motorsports in Dearborn Hts, Michigan. I noticed improved seat of the pants performance other than that I don't know.

you can order them from any ford dealership since they are a ford racing product; however, if you are going to take this route, I advise you to purchase it from a ford racing authorized dealer or whatever because if not, you will get charged a little more. Also, since this muffler is considered to be the borla/ford racing one, you can also purchase it off of the borla website, but again, this will be pricey. Best way to go would be ebay.

Honestly, I saved quite a bit by going through one of Ford Racing's wholesale dealers than I would have if I ordered from them directly.

Check out this link to see if there's a dealer near you. The dealer I ordered mine from installed it for $20.

I like the power and sound (only other thing I have is a K&N drop-in filter) and NO, it will not affect the vehicle's warranty.
