I've seen plenty of "tuned" SRT4s at the track. Very rarely do they run under 14 in the 1/4. I saw one with slicks running 15 flat.

Oh, and S197 GTs? I see a lot of mid to low 14s, occasional 13s.

Maybe there are a bunch of crappy drivers at the track i don't know. I'm running mid 13s without hardly trying.
You saw alot of crappy SRT-4 drivers then, they run high 13-low 14 stock, these times have been proven 1000x over, here's just one article.

As for you running mid-13's, believable...but a 100 shot isn't exactly a bolt-on, that's f/i [8D] All i'm saying is a v6 without some type of f/i shouldn't expect to beat an SRT-4. Not can't, just shouldn't given equal drivers.
We can magazine race if you'd like but that means nothing in the real world where putting power to the pavement isn't easy with FWD. The guys at C&D are professional drivers. =)

Don't have to mag race, just check out the times on SRTforums or whatever, speed wise they are quite a bit faster then us. Just trying to save my fellow 4.0 owners some embarressment, it's a quicker car in tyhe hands of a capable driver. GT competition, not v6. That's it...it doesn't look anywhere near as good as the 4.0, in or out.

And C&D is known for not ragging on cars, or getting the best times from them, because 9/10 they are testing cars that haven't broken in fully yet...i will say they're runs are on perfectly conditioned courses under good weather conditions usually.

Motor Trend tested the stock 2005 Dodge SRT-4 with 230 HP @ 5300 RPM and 250 ft-lb of torque at 2200 RPM.
Motor Trend also clocked the 1/4 Mile time of an SRT-4 14.4 sec @ 100.8 MPH and 6.0 sec in the 0-60
Our stock 4.0L got tested at 15.3 in the 1/4 mile (some of us can do it quicker)

By adding a ProCharger, X-Charger, PH Turbo whichever you prefer... we are supposed to get up to 2 seconds (without any other mods) so if you supercharge your car and tune it right he will most likly see only your tail lights.

You also might want to consider a gear swap because the Axle ratio on the SRT-4 is 3.53:1 which is right with our 3.55:1

couple things, first, MOPAR offers a stage 3 turbo/suspension ugrade for the neon now, can acheive 355 fwhp on race gas and not void warranty. They are fast cars, but you can beat the driver all day and still not really beat the car. Second, we're geared @ 3.29. Auto GT's are 3.29 and manual GT's are 3.55. For a while I thought we sported 3.55's too, but I was wrong. Any sort of FI, you'll be fine, he pulls on you when he gets into high RPM, so you can use a centi and keep your ground @ high RPM.

Don't think you would have caught him, even with the best launch in the world. 14 seconds vs. 15 seconds. He'd have to be pretty terrible..

With F/I you can kill all the SRT-4s and Cobalt SS's that your heart desires.
