Went to strip with v6

RE: Went to strip with v6
Personally I don't like the body colour side skirts so I din't buy any. I may get some and have them match the side stripe, I wanted my car to look longer, hence the dark on the skirts. And I just ordered the sct and c&L so my money has gone in search of 14's. Attached is the first rendered sketch I did to lay out what I wanted

RE: Went to strip with v6
I went back last night to the test n tune and my first run was the best ( see attached) I got one more 15.1710 after this and all the rest 15.2's. My trap speed varied from the 89.81 on this slip to 92.23 depending on where I let the car shift. I did manage to beat a Roush vert with a big holeshot, although my reaction times were real slow all evening. there was an original mini cooper that ran mid 14's!, he fell asleep at the light and I smoked him.

RE: Went to strip with v6
How do these timing slips work? For instance, does the 60' time INCLUDE the reaction time, or is this the time after the car starts moving. Same with 1/4 mile time. Does this include reaction time? It seems from the results that it must be time to 60' AFTER you start moving. In which case it's interesting to see that after 1000', there is 0.3 seconds difference in time. This would not even be felt in the seat of the pants.
Which raises an interesting question. In the absense of timers, how much faster must a car be before you clearly fell it in your pants. For instance, I take you on a 15.0 second 1/4 mile run in my car. Then, somebody takes you on a 14.0 second run. Did the 14 second run clearly feel faster in the seat of the pants? I am guessing, no. But surely, if you drop to 13 you would feel it. SO, how must must time change before the EXPERIENCE in the car changes? It must be some percentage rather than a single number. I am sure you would feel the diff. between 15 and 12, but you would not feel the difference between 27 and 24 (Prius shoot-out??).

the reaction time is not included in the 60' time. reaction time starts when the light turns green and stops when you start the et timer, the et timer starts when you roll out of the stage light. on the tree at my track the quickest you can cut a light is .5000, anything under that is a red light. on a pro tree it is .4000 I could tell the difference between the 15.9 and the 15.1, but not the 15.4 and the 15.1. when I get into the 14's I'll let you know if i feel it!
