Default what are Street legal performance mods?

New mustang owner here and very happy!! I live in sunny Southern California, and am looking to upgrade to either a borla or MRT exhaust first, then perhaps a air intake of some sort. My concern is what is street legal in socal? I was looking at the Evolution deal, and possibly the K&N Typhon Intake kit. thanks for your helps.

hey man, about 99.999999% of the stuff out there is street legal or at least 49 state...... it will say on the websites if it will pass CA tests.....

If your going to get CAI get the C&L or the Tunable Induction and a tune.

well, i am in california also and for that K&N Typhoon Intake, I think it is NOT legal in California. No worries though--K&N has another intake for us californians. But IMO you should get a C&L with a tune tune. Just my two cents. Best of luck.

Don't think the C&L is CARB approved. Welcome to the site though!

Where are you in SoCal? Not too long ago we had a SoCal meet & greet in Fullerton. A huge turn out of 4 guys, but no big deal.

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm know leaning towards the C&L CAI witht the SCT XCal II tune. I've decided it's going to be the Borla exhaust as well. In regards to the meet you folks had, I had discovered this awesome forum the very next day!! i would have loved to have been there. I live in Riverside, California and work in Ontario. I'm at the Ontario Mills quite often and have seen many a stang drive by, perhaps one of you peeps were there at the same time! Thanks again guys for the help. Keep the advice rolling as after discovering this site I feel much more secure about mod decisions. I've included some pics of "Cassie"!

Yes sirs that grille was a dealer thing. I could ask though and get you guys the info. Thanks for the Comments. Jason I love the dual exhaust look. I'm gonna start with a single Borla then upgrade to duals when the savings allows and Lola looks super sexy clean. I'm using Maqueira (spelling?) NXT wax, but i live in a dust bowl!, what are you using on your stang, blazen?

I'm actually just using Ice Polisher and the ICE detailing spray, after washing her by hand with Meguiars auto soap and then hand drying her. I keep hearing people talk about the NXT wax and a couple of others so I may give them a try to see what I think. My only negative on the ICE is that it almost seems to attract dust, but that could just be me being ****. LOL... Thanks for the compliment!
