Default 500RPM Raise In Gas Mileage?

Has anyone out there with the IUP have 3.73's, and if so how has it affected your gas mileage? I'm peticulary interested in how much it would affect me switching from 3500 to 4000 RPM for the same speed in 5th gear as I gather that 3.73's would raise your RPM's by ~500 [I do at least a couple 3000+ km roadtrips a year and don't drive slow ]

2 mpg is about 10%; thats not insignificant and I don't believe the city mileage would improve. But if you're into racing a couple mpg's probably don't bother you as you probably drive pretty hard anyway.

I've had them on for about 4 days and I would estimate I'm about 2-3 mpg from where I was before the gears. I've also been flooring it and driving kinda hard. I'd say 2-3 is pretty close.

Hate the ricer not the rice stalk My first car was an '89 toyota tercel. I got those 13" skinny *** wheels up to 187 km/h (116mph)... seriously!! I've gone faster in that rice can than my stang [&:]. My best friend had to follow me in his lowered VW Golf down a hill to believe me! I live up north were some places it is over 300 km's (186 miles) to the next gas station... As long as I can make it from station to staion while supergluing the gas pedal to the floor I'll be happy .

Pat.. how much difference do you feel when compared to just having the tune and CAI. I am so torn about doing this... where do you see the biggest improvement? Do you see improvement in torque and seat of the pants feel across the range? Beside the slightly higher RPM, any downsides? Happy you did it?
