Do I have to Buy the tuner.
I want to change the tune in my 06 V6 but im still new to the modding world. Do i have to buy the $400 dollar tuner or can i take it somewhere to have it tuned. What are the perks of getting a tune? Hp advantages? fuel efficiancy? Warrenty coverage after the tune (and dont say screw the warrenty, ive used it once already)? any advice would help. thanks in advance

RE: Do I have to Buy the tuner.
I'd buy the tuner so you can revert back to stock when you have warranty issues. I know the warranty issue is tough to prove on the dealer's part that the mod caused the problem, which is the only ay they can get away w/not covering it, but I would still de-tune it.
I was getting 21mpg city/hwy mix before my C&L intake and SCT X2 tune. Not I tuned it to 91 Octane and get 23mpg. So it's actually cheaper for me to run the higher octane.
Now these number do go down quite a bit when I am 'having fun" with the agrressive shifting of the tune and the aero-turbine exhaust.
