HA i think we are all right there with you with the lead foot factor. I have 9 tickets and im only 21 figure how much of a lead foot i have!!

The gas tank im on right now i am only accelerating to 2000 rpms and I am going to see if there is a huge diff with that and my normal driving so far its the same but i wont know for sure until i put the gas in and calculate it.

Has anyone done anything to there car to get better MPG and has it worked??

Holy crap 9 tickets? Not one ticket in my stang....yet. I'm going to get Veteren plates so that should help me out of some tickets too!

it should help you out a lot lol. My dad works for CID and all he has to do when he gets pulled over is inadvertantly let the officer see his badge. Jeremy how did you like the army. I'll be in green soon enough. I'm goin Army ROTC in college, and should be goin to officer training my sophmore summer or junior summer of college. What FUN!!![8D]

My gas milage ws HORRIBLE for the first 1500 or so miles then it went up

Well I filled up my tank with 3 gal and I have driven 40 miles and 3 gal already gone. Well I guess I'll have to wait 500 more miles to see if there's an improvement. i also Have an 06 Explorer V6 4.0 and I'm getting about 15 MPG.

I drive about 150 miles a day to/from work (90% highway) and I'm averaging between 25 and 27 mpg. 13/15 seems WAY low to me.

Ya i drive mostly highway miles everyday back and forth to work and i'd estimate my mileage about 22-23mpg on a normal day...But then there are somedays i might see a car full of girls so i try to show off a little bit

have you done anything to your car to help with mpg??? i wonder if there is something wrong with my car. what do you guys think i get an average of 300 miles per tank. i will be filling up soon so i will see what i get then.

i just got a new 2007 mustang v6. I have about 500 miles on it and im getting about 10.6 avg mpg. I put in regular and drive pretty normal except for the occasional slaming of the gas but other than that normal. Does this soung familiar to any v6's out there. Maybe it needs to break in and also its mostly city driving.

Well is the top up or down? have you checked the air presure in your tires. Also at 1000 miles you are still in the break in period. sao many variables. A good clean air filter (I am using the K&N in the standard box and get 17-19). Watch you take offs from that light, event the V6 has a decent sound at acceleration and we all like to hear our ponies. even switch brands of gas. If nothing better shows up hit the dealer.
