Default V-Power?

If you are going with a higher octane and a tune would it be worth it to go with Shell V-Power? Would this be any better than other 93 octanes? Is it advisable to go with better spark plugs when going to a higher octane fuel?

I like it and have had no issues but V-power is the best gas in my area. Everything else is locally is connoco(spelling), Fina, phillips 66, and other unfavorable brands.

theres no point in putting high octane in your car, without the tune.. your just wasting your money. get a tuner, get the tune, get the higer octane

oh,and didnt noticehe asked about sprakplugs..

spark plugs are really tricky! if your not careful you can cause detonation because of plugs, i learned sooo much in school about spark plugs its disgusting.. we spent a week straight on it.

ive been told that people put plugs like the platinums or the bosch 4 somthing (i dontknow names lol) and have blown up their motors or have caused severe internal damage because of plugs alone.. like those(im driving a cavalier and i put the best plugs money can buy, my car runs like crap tho, cant be the plugs) but its not just cavalier , it can be any motor.

go to a reputable performance shop, or call one, and get their info on what they tested with what plugs..

80% of hte time stock sparkplugs are THE best plugs for your car even after modifications. the factor did their homework for a reason

Check the other thread... the Spanish Oak will actually adjust for higher octane.. now whether or not it makes a difference you can feel I don't know... but it has been shown to make a difference on the dyno for the GT... I assume it will make a difference on the V6 since I've seen the computer try to add spark when it thought the car was "under-sparked"

Spanish Oak? Oh, I just read your article in MM. I was just about to travel to our job site (oilfield surveyor) and saw "v6 screamer", flipped to the page and thought: "Hey, I've heard of thiis guy..." Cool article. V6-Represent! Now that I'm finished being a w-i-g-g-e-r, what's that Spanish oak a-boot?

Thanks... A guy came up to me yesterday (i was at a local car show) and says, "I've heard stories about this car.... it's a V6 and it goes like Hell!" LOL!

Anyways... to answer your question, Spanish Oak is the name of the car's computer....
