It's not lowered, it just has a lower chin.

The car is not lower, the front chin only is 1.5 inches closer to the ground.

It's not lowered. It has a different front and rear fascia, hood scoop, side stripes, new side scoops, polished exhaust tips, 18" wheels and the engine has a unique cover that sets it apart from the GT.

That's in Ford Builder Magazine.

Ford also has a "Stampede Edition". It will be available only in Oklahoma and Texas. There will be only 500 of these V6 cars and each will have the pony package. The stampede package adds twin silver racing stripes, chrome spinners for the wheels, chrome exhaust tips and a spoiler. Also has the "MyColor" instrument panel like the GT's. leather-wrap steering wheel, Shaker 500 or 1000 audio, six way power seats, and embossed floormats.

Front
Larger air intake
Integrated chin spoiler
1.5 inch lower ride height than Mustang GT

That's from Planet Mustang. I'm only calling it how I see it.

I'm still waiting for the "Soybean Picker" version for Indiana and Illinois.

I do like the CS, though. I saw one on a local dealer's lot a few weeks ago. Pretty slick.

This rumor has been fed by some misinformation from Ford, but the GT/CS is NOT lowered. It has the exact same suspension as the GT. As others mentioned, the front fascia is 1.5" lower to the ground and that's where the confusion got started. One of the guys on the Brad Barnett forums that has already received his GT/CS compared his with a GT and they confirmed that there is no difference in the suspension.

Personally I like the GT/CS, but surprisingly there has been a big backlash from a lot of Mustang fans who think the non-functional scoops ruin it. I don't understand that line of thought, there is lots of stuff on the new Mustangs that is there for looks and wouldn't belong on a true race car.
