Default Racing Manuals

A post by Lizzy got me wondering......pretty much at any speed you can drop it down into 4th. However, at up to what speed can you drop it into 3rd and still avoid over revving your engine?

Lizzy, if your out there, what RPM's did you hit when you put it in 3rd at 60mph.

Default RE: Racing Manuals

ill drop to 3rd going 130, which is about 80mph.. at 60mph, 3rd gear is probobly around 3250rpm

just make sure you gas it to about 3500rpm before you release the clutch, cltuch life will last longer (being hard on it as you are) :P its harder on the clutch to just dump the clutch at that rpm
