Typically Tuners have a serial port from which a serial connection can be used to communicate with a laptop or PC.... also tipically logging and reviewing software is available thru the MFg at no cost...... But I am not 100% sure especifically on the SCT, everyone uses it here so I am sure you'll get the correct answer...

I'm not sure about how it works, but I'm gettin the SCT X-Cal 2. I just experienced it and it is by far, hands down the best performance upgrade that I have seen yet ( aside from of course a supercharger or turbo). I was impressed! I think the X-CAL 2 has a usb hook up.

Correct! The XCAL2 uses a USB connection. The Diablo uses a serial connection.

The logging programs and tune upload programs are free for it, you can simply download them from SCT's site. But you do have to buy the tunes for your specific applicaiton (i.e. stock air box, C&L, MMR, TI, etc.)
