Throttle problems?

RE: Throttle problems?
My understanding is that the computer in our cars learns your driving habits, and the drive by wire throttle control gets adjusted by the computer accordingly.
You can do a reset of the drive by wire by turning the car to the run position (don't start it)... and just after the warning lights go out slowly depress the gas pedal to the floor and release it. Then turn the car off
This resets the throttle sensor, so the "lag" should be greatly reduced, at least for a while.
Reprogramming your car with an Xcal or Diablo tuner is another way to decrease this lag and give your car an overall "kick in the pants" as well.
Give the throttle reset a try and see if it helps.

RE: Throttle problems?
i was driving on the beltway coming off an incline and starting up an incline..went to give it gas and the pedal felt strange. on the instrument panel and wrench lit up. i was able to pull over, turned the car off and tried to restart it..it wouldn't start. turned the car off again and waited a few minutes and the car started right back up and the wrench light went off. i was getting off of the next exit and had my daughter look up the wrench light in the owner's manual. it was an electronic control throttle..i called the service depart and they told me to bring the car right in...the car didn't pull any codes but they traced everything back to the throttle body so they replaced it. I haven't had any problems since.
prior to all of this, i had started my car and it tached very high (around 2-2,500 rpm) and then came down and the car shut off on its own. had to the service department and it didn't pull any codes so i am not sure if this was the start of the above problem.
hope this helps
