Default v6 convertiable electrical problem?

Had my 2005 v6 convertiable for about a year...not one problem till wed of this week..i get in the car, start it up then i notice that the gauges are not working. turn the car back off, restarts ok but still no gauges. then i try to roll down the windows..no go, they will not work.i turn the car back off. pop the hood and check the fuses...all were good. get back in the car and start it back up(gauges still are not working) and drive to a friends house about 2 blocks away. i turn the car off and he comes out and im telling him about my problem. so i start it back up to show him. gauges are back working windows roll up and down ok...no problem!!!...
so, everything is good until friday (today). drive into work, work, done with work, go out to the car and press the unlock button on my
key chain, no click, no unlock...takes me a few minutes to remember i can use the little slot on the door handle to gain access.
so im thinking A:battery dead on key chain remote. B:battery dead on car.....put the key in the ignition turn her over and pray.starts
right up....no problem!!!......no gauges,no dash lights, no ac, no windows up and down, no dash lights, no turn signals, no head lights, no electric top,no brake lights,no trunk light
no radio!!!!!!
the only thing i can confim that is still working is A:engin(running like a champ) B: windshild wipers C: windshild washer D: dash vent fan....thats it nuffin else.....
checked all fuses under the hood. checked all fuses at kick panel on passenger side of car.

will take it to the dealer monday to see whats up....

any ideas ? thanks for all replys....

ps: only 16000 miles....

dont know if this helps at all, but my other car, an 03 dodge neon did the same thing.
gauges didnt work, windows didnt work, radio worked. took it to the dealer and they just reflashed the computer and all was well until i sold it.
don't know if that helps.

I had exactly same issue before my car hit 1K. Took it to dealer and they pulled a bunch of trouble codes. Ended up replacing the Junction Box. Some loose connection or defect in the Junction Box but once they replaced it, no more problems with guages/lights going out while driving. Good luck.

Dealer had to change the "smart junction box" ie. fuse box on passenger side kick panel....
All is good now......sure hope this will not happen again........
Thanks again for the replys...
