250-300 miles per tank? either ur foot is made of lead when u accelerte, but i can probably get 300-350 city driving, it really al depends on how you drive, but 250-300 is really low, maybe you calculated it wrong cuz i know i can easily get 400+ to a tank

Man, I didn't think this topic would create so much controversy. I'm kind of enjoying it becuase it highlights to different driving styles.

With the IUP, the gauge says I average 16.3 mpg city. We went to Ocean City, NJ yesterday, and my mileage (according to the dash readout) was 22.5 mpg (top down of course), but that was mostly two-lane and passing slow cars as needed (about five times). My mpg is low compared to others who have posted here.

I agree with Mr Ed, plan on 21 mpg and you should get at least 330 miles per tank. Don't trust how may miles to E the gauge says. Start out with a full tank, drive til you're near E, fill up and divide the number of gallons into the number of miles traveled (forgive me for stating the obvious). Then you'll know for sure. I will check mine that way when I fill up today.

best i got was 28mpg worst 21 mpg I normally drive 320 miles before I put gas back in. There is usually about 3 gallons left in the tank. Fuel mileage drops at the track though!! Right now I am getting 23 mpg with my 3:73's

Just remember nought from nought equals nought....I guess I just dated myself with a Beverly Hillbilly's reference.

Recently I made a trip to las vegas, nv from farmington, nm. The mileage to las from farmington is 509 miles. Most of the trip I did not exceed 70 mph. The majority of the trip to las vegas I maintained a speed of 60 to 70 mph. Prior to leaving I filled up the tank. I do not have the message center in my car that displays mpg. From farmington to las vegas, my mustang only consumed 7/8 of a tank. Meaning that I had an eigth (1/8) of a tank remaining. My mustang coasts very effeciently. I had a full load of luggage and another passenger too. I calculated that the miles per gallon on the highway was 32 mpg. However I do not know with accuracy of how much fuel really did remain in the tank when reaching las vegas.

When my low fuel light turns on I head for the fuel station. When I do fill up, there sometimes remains 1.5 to 2.5 of gallons remaining. That is a calculated value by 16.0 gallons minus the amount of gallons I purchased to fill up.

Here in farmington, nm fuel is $3.15. This price is so ridiclously high. In this region, we have the oil and gas industry businesses all over the place too. But there exists so many trucks and large suvs here, so the demand is high for fuel. What is the price per gallon where everyone else resides?
