Default How smooth are you with your manual?

I still haven't got 100% acclimated to the clutch on my stang and I've had it a year and a half. Don't know why. I drive it ok, but I'm not 100% smooth. Just curious if there are any of you out there that can drive your manual as smooth as an automatic. I know that's hard to do, but I was able to do it in my old honda civic - if you rode with me and had a blindfold you wouldnt know if i was driving a stick or auto.

I think the clutches in our newer stangs are a bit stiffer than the hondas. I could do the samething in my old 90 celica.

cars with less tq and HP (like honda) are easier to finess because if you pop the clutch, there is no spike of power that jolts the car

I was able to do it to my old 85 2.8L camaro but I drove that around for about 6-7 years compared to 1 year. Never really tried to get it to shift smooth like an auto.

I was practicing with her today and I found that if I held the clutch for about 2 seconds at the sweet spot the car would engage the gear very smoothly. As far as accelerating from a stop in first gear smoothly, I have a loooooong way to go on that
