I dont get it then. With the exception of the muffler everythings stock and i cant do it. I hold the brake and then gas it but does nothin but raise rpms alil bit. Even tried to barely get going then hit brake but didnt do anything either. This sucks

My friends got an expedition and he burned out by just holding the brake and flooring it. But then again we were on a gravel driveway.

too bad man, i feel for you. i have a stick and i love it. i can burn the tires out all the way through third gear. but like they said just hold down the brake and mash the gas and release the brake. make sure you turn off the traction control if you have it. my first car was 1996 auto dodge avenger. it only had a 3800 v6 and it burned out pretty good. it possible in a auto but if you want that burnout feeling, just get a stick.

The 2005's auto's have a torque limiter that prevents you from making enough torque to really break the tires loose... Pick up an X-Cal2 for $400 and it will remove it... You will still need to power brake a bit but you'll be doing burnouts all you want...

It appears that for 06, Ford might have raised the torque limiter a bit....

But I was once like you... I couldn't get my tire to spin even power braking! Installed an X-Cal2.. one legged burn outs all day! LOL! Then put the 4:10's and Track-Lock in and:

I LOVE that video clip!!! I too had difficulty spinning the tire, even by power braking it. Installed a C&L and xcal2 with Evolution Perf 93 Extreme tune, and the tire spins freely (TCS off). Headed for the track soon!
